SMART stands for Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique. It is a protocol that uses rubber dam isolation, high-volume suction, and dedicated air filtration to safely remove old amalgam fillings while protecting you and the clinical team from mercury exposure.
Ozone therapy uses activated oxygen to disinfect treatment areas, support tissue healing, and reduce the need for more invasive interventions. It is used at Luma during restorative procedures, periodontal care, and cavity management.
Guided biofilm therapy is a modern approach to preventive dental cleaning that uses a disclosing solution to reveal bacterial biofilm, followed by gentle air-polishing technology. It is more comfortable and more thorough than traditional scaling.
Yes. We exclusively use BPA-free composite resin and ceramic restorations. We never place amalgam fillings and follow strict SMART protocols when removing existing ones.

Luma is a fee-for-service practice, so we are not contracted with dental insurance plans and we do not bill your insurer directly. Payment is made at the time of your visit, and you will receive an itemized receipt you can submit to your plan if it includes out-of-network benefits. We go through the full cost of your treatment with you before anything begins, so you always know what to expect.
We use 3D cone beam CT imaging and digital X-rays that produce up to 90 percent less radiation than traditional film, giving Dr. Zannis a precise, complete view of your teeth, jaw, and airway for treatment planning.
Yes. Our CEREC same-day milling system lets us design and place a custom ceramic crown, inlay, or onlay in a single visit, so most patients avoid temporaries and a second appointment.
Red light therapy uses low-level light to stimulate cellular repair and reduce inflammation. We use it to support healing after procedures and help manage discomfort without medication.
